I love how the western life style is reduced to clubbing and drinking.
Absolutely love the idea, if I could just write stories or finish them for that matter.
Until Next time!

btw I just noticed, that except the first two posts in this series, I’ve put the apostrophe after “em”. I have absolutely no idea how that crept into the titles and I didn’t notice until this the 17th post. That’s quite funny actually.
1. Istishara meaning consultation, if it’s about marriage ask people about the person you are about to marry, make background checks. Do your homework, find out how he or she is with kids, their parents, elders, strangers etc.
2. Istikhara to seek goodness from Allah. Pray two rakah then make the dua’

O Allah! I ask guidance from Your knowledge, And Power from Your Might and I ask for Your great blessings. You are capable and I am not. You know and I do not and You know the unseen. O Allah! If You know that this job (name your need here) is good for my religion and my subsistence and in my Hereafter–(or: If it is better for my present and later needs)–Then You ordain it for me and make it easy for me to get, And then bless me in it, and if You know that this job (name your need here) is harmful to me In my religion and subsistence and in the Hereafter–(or: If it is worse for my present and later needs)–Then keep it away from me and let me be away from it. And ordain for me whatever is good for me, And make me satisfied with it). The Prophet added that then the person should name (mention) his need.
Sahih Al-Bukhari – Book 21 Hadith 263
3. Azm once you made the decision have the determination to carry it out
4.Tawakkul put your trust in Allah.
This is loosely based on what Sheikh Alaa Elsayed said in a lecture.
Wa Allahu A’lam Wa Salam,
my last longer post in German was about child abuse, I mentioned the Vatican and the extra responsibility that I feel religious people have to safeguard the innocence of children.
Today’s khutba was on the same topic of child abuse, advising us to look at the Prophet saw. as role model to see how he acted in all of his roles as father, as leader, as teacher, as business man, as a volunteer etc. etc. I wanted to upload it but I don’t think it’s worth it, the volume is way too low.
Abdullah ibn Shidad ra. relates that his father said: “The Messenger of Allah saw. came to us either during the noon or afternoon prayers and he was carrying Hassan or Hussain. The Prophet saw. proceeded to the front and put him down and made the takbir for the salah. During the salah, he made a long sajdah. I raised my head and saw the child on the back of the Messenger of Allah saw. while he was in sajdah. I returned to my sajdah. When the Messenger of Allah saw. finished the salah, the people said to him: ‘O Messenger of Allah, you prostrated during your salah so long that we suspected you were thinking about some matter or you were receiving some revelation.’ He saw said: ‘None of that happened but my son was resting and I hated to rush him until he had finished what he desired.”‘
“He (the Prophet (saws)) was praying. When he performed sajdah, Hasan and Hussein jumped onto his back. When the people tried to stop them, he gestured them to leave the two alone. After offering his prayer, he placed them in his lap and said, ‘Whoever loves me should love these two.'” [Reported by Ibn Khuzaimah and Baihaqi]
The Messenger of Allah (saws), also said: “Treat your child equally, treat your child equally, treat your child equally.” [Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Ibn Hibban]
He has showed his caring for children over and over again, his admonishment to people treating them unfairly or being unloving. He saw. is the best of role models if we choose to look at his life in detail, not just as The Messenger of Allah who we can never imitate but also as a guidance for us in all of our stages in life, all of our problems. As the Khatib said, his society had problems with the burying of female babies, with substance abuse in form of alcohol for example. He saw. faced social injustice on a small and big scale and sought to fight it wherever he met it.
What are we doing to fight it? Are we doing enough?
The hypocrites will call to the believers, “Were we not with you?” They will say, “Yes, but you led yourselves into temptations, you looked forward for our destruction; you doubted (in Faith); and you were deceived by false desires, till the Command of Allah came to pass. And the chief deceiver (Satan) deceived you about of Allah.
Surah Al-Hadid | Verse 14
finishing of the poster for Discover Islam Week. It is very late and entirely my fault, should have started working on it weeks ago. I’ve wanted to do something with 3D elements in it for some time now, but was and am not that skilled in 3D modelling. So tutorials were what got me to this.
Two different things merged together I don’t know if they will take this one or one without the landscape in front but they will have to pick one of the two hahaha, I’ve got no time to restart anything at the moment. The Pattern might change as well, need to vectorise another picture.
The original, also the one that saw its light at the Dawah Workshop with Hamza Tzortzis today, was entirely black and white, the only colour was the yellow strip of the Kaaba. Apparently not enough colour for some, I’d like to not go back to Cinema 4D to change the colour, so hope it is enough to just overlay a pattern and delete the parts that are over the important bits. InshaAllah, InshaAllah!
So this has pretty much been my existence the last two weeks and the reason that I have almost no time to write a proper post about something important. The next 2 longer post I write will hopefully be firstly about having humility with regards to Allah and secondly about the Workshop today, many things came up that just got me thinking.
With that salam,
not much time today so let’s get right into some videos, shall we?
Aisha (radhiAllahu ‘anha) said:
“People are paying no attention to the best act of worship: Humility.”
[Collected by Ibn Abee Shaybah (13/360) Ibn Hajr graded this Athar as being Sahih]
Ibn al-Qayyim, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said:
The keys to the life of the heart lie in reflecting upon the Quran, being humble before Allah in secret, and leaving sins.
[Haadee al-Arwaah ilaa Bilaad al-Afraah (p.45) of Ibn al-Qayyim.]
# February – Being more humble
